GRANT DISTRIBUTION PROCESS
2020-21 School Year
The purpose of this document is to outline the steps involved in the grant making process to be utilized by the STCS Foundation.
I. Application: Those applying for a grant from the STCS Foundation will complete our application and submit it by April 8, 2022.
II. The application will then be reviewed by the Grant Committee to determine if the request meets the purpose of the grant(s) being considered. Those that do not fit the purpose of the grant(s) being considered will be denied at this level and applicants will be notified.
III. The committee will meet to discuss those applications that meet the purpose of the grant(s) being considered and determine which applicants will be awarded grants
IV. Applicants recommended by the Grant Committee will be forwarded to the members of the Saginaw Township Community Schools Foundation for their review and approval. Grant recipients will be notified either at B.L.O.C.K. Awards Night or by email the on day after.
V. Miscellaneous policies
a. Grants will not be made for purposes outside of Saginaw Township Community Schools.
b. Grants will not be made to any agency or business that is not affiliated with Saginaw Township Community Schools.
c. Grants are generally only for the benefit of Saginaw Township Community Schools’ students, teachers and staff.
d. Grants are not intended for college or post secondary educational purposes.
e. Grant applications that are denied will receive notification from the Saginaw Township Community Schools Foundation and/or Grant Committee of the denial and reason for denial.
f. All decisions made by the Grant Committee and Saginaw Township Community Schools Foundation are final and may not be disputed.
g: All grants are approved in the spring for the next school year. Funds will not be available before the start of the new school year - July 1.
