PARENTS of freshmen or sophomores: Great Lakes Bay Early College is coming to Heritage on Monday, December 13, from 6-7 pm in the Science Lecture Theater to answer your questions about free college credits for your student. No need to RSVP, but questions will be answered by Mrs. Stahl at sjstahl@stcs.org. Parents, park in the B lot; B doors open at 5:30 pm.

The TAP Tutoring Center is open every day in the Student Center from 10:30-11:20 am. Our tutors have held over 100 tutoring sessions already this semester. With exams coming up quickly, let them help you get ready. Whether it is just getting organized or understanding geometry or proofreading an essay, we are willing to help! See Mrs. Egerer in room 225 if you have questions or want to sign up for a session.

The KNOTS Peer to Peer Program is excited to share that our first Bake Sale will be this Thursday December 8th from 8:30-2:00 in front of Main Office. Be ready to purchase some baked goods!

College & Military Visits Week of 12/5 – 12/9: Delta College will be here Wednesday, December 7 from 10:30-12:50PM during all lunches. Cynthia Reyes from Delta College will be here to help seniors apply to Delta College and answer questions about FAFSA, Financial Aid, and Scholarships. Sign up for the time during your lunch period, your Chromebook is needed. Staff Sergeant DaVonte Barnes with the Michigan Army National Guard will be here Thursday, December 8 from 8:35-9:25AM to present to seniors. Sign up in room 234 to attend these presentations.

Heritage Christian Outreach is meeting on Tuesdays after school from 2:45-3:30 in room 316 (Mr. Lewis's room). Come join us as we look at answers to the Big questions of life and also have some yummy snacks!

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB meets next on Wednesday, December 14, in Mrs. Hausbeck’s room, 353 right after school until 3:30. Mrs. Stahl recently received many photography help books, so see her if you’d like to borrow one or ten.

If you would like to sign up to play in this quick game at the assembly on Dec. 9th, you must sign up in Mrs. Morse's room-320-after school ONLY on Friday 12/2. We are only taking the first 15 people.

The next meeting of the writing club will be held December 14th from 2:45-3:30 in Ms. Hare's room. Bring pieces that you are working on to discuss. New Members are always welcome.

Juniors & Seniors interested in going into the skilled trades: On December 12th from 9-11:45AM there is an opportunity to go on a field trip to Delta College. There we will learn about the skilled trades opportunities at Delta College and take a tour around campus. Permission slips are due by December 7th and you can pick one up from Mr. Sandow or Ms. Greenia.

Attention Seniors: A local medical office is looking for responsible students to do clerical work and/or work directly with patients. Students would need to be available in the afternoons at least 3 days of the week. This will be a paid work based learning experience and would be in place of some afternoon classes here at Heritage - a great opportunity for anyone looking to go into the medical field.
