Are you wondering who the Best Dressed of the Senior class is? What about the Cutest Couple? Which Senior is Most Likely to be Late to Graduation? Find out the answers to these questions and more when you attend The Oscars this Saturday at 6:30 in the Vasher Theater. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at all lunches or at the door. It is a dressy occasion, so be sure to dress for the red carpet. This event is open to all students, staff, and parents - not just seniors.

Did you know that 1 in 7 hospital patients needs a blood transfusion? Have you wondered where that blood comes from? One of those places is blood drives like the ones we put on at Heritage. The last blood drive of the year is happening in the Student Center on April 18. You must be 17 or older or 16 with parent consent. You can sign up using the QR code on the red posters in the hallways or using the link that is in your student emails. If you need a consent form, see your student email or visit Mrs. Richardson in Room 210. If we have 30 people successfully give blood, we help 90 people in Michigan!

The Heritage Hawkbots will be competing in a FIRST Robotics event at Midland Dow HS on March 22nd & 23rd on March 39 & 30th at CMU. Come cheer them on!

The Career Exploration and Job Fair will be on Tuesday, April 30 from 10:30am-1:00pm. Local businesses, organizations, colleges and universities will be here to share career information and opportunities with students. All students are encouraged to participate during their lunch periods after eating. A list of participating businesses, schools and their current opportunities will be posted in most classrooms. Because time is limited at lunch, students are welcome to sign up for extended time at the job fair using this form: https://forms.gle/YDpNV3vvVDZKRGBd9 or by stopping to see Mr. Sandow or Mrs. Hill. A pass will be made and provided to excuse the students. Students are encouraged, but not required to bring a resume.

Calling all Hawks! We will be unveiling a new Hawk mascot at the Spring Assembly on April 5. You will be seeing some sneak previews on the announcements this week. We need your help in naming the new Hawk! Our Hawk mascot has never had a name, so this will be history in the making! If your Hawk name is selected, you will receive either a parking pass or an athletic pass for next school year (your choice), or if you are a senior, you will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Enter the contest by clicking on the form link in your student gmail. It will be in an email from Mrs. Richardson. We will narrow down the names to 5-6 and then the whole school will be able to vote when we return from Spring Break. Submit your suggestion by Thursday, March 21 at 11:59 PM.

Penny Wars is coming next week! Save your coins! Penny Wars is back next week Monday - Thursday (March 18-21). This is worth double points for class competition! You want to bring pennies for your own class and silver coins and bills for other classes so you can cancel out their points. A portion of the money raised goes to the winning class, a portion goes to the Mustard Seed shelter in Saginaw, and a portion goes to Student Assembly, so they can continue to put on events at Heritage. So look everywhere for loose change: your car, your couch, your kitchen. Ask neighbors and grandparents. Let's make the week leading into spring break one of fierce competition!
