Some of our eagles flew the nest today and headed to the baseball diamond. Ms Shanna, Ms Tera, Ms Marisa and Ms Lewis's students headed to a Great Lakes Loons game as part of our community based instruction and making memories. It was a home run today for fun!
The third grade Eagles 🦅 took to the stage to share their journey this school year with their families. Recorders, singing and movement oh my! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate their learning this morning.

We had a great week sharing our love and appreciation for our Arrowwood teachers and staff. Events included survivor gift bags including new clickers for their computers, a dirty soda bar with a Merge Mixer or Castaway Cola, breakfast service from the Arrowwood PTO, pulled pork luncheon from the office crew, and new additions to their classroom libraries around topics in the new ELA curriculum. The team played several games to celebrate the year and had a bonus prep time while the principals held down the island with a prepared STEAM day. Thank you to this passionate group of individuals that truly are champions for all of our students, our building and STCS! We appreciate all that you do!

Today the Eagles 🦅 had fun as a building wide STEAM day as master builders themed around the LEGO Movie. All morning long they built parachutes, designed a LEGO village with perimeter and area, broke binary code, tested Kragle and designed a double decker couch to hold books. The day concluded with a showing of the LEGO Movie.
This morning we welcomed a few new faces to Arrowood as second graders from Sherwood and Westdale visited the nest. Our fourth grade tour guides were able to take the soon to be Eagles around their favorite places in the building and meet some new people.

Ms White and Ms Tweddle's class ventured from the nest today to the Saginaw Arts Museum. They were able to participate in a lesson and tour the museum.
Being the principal keeps Ms. D'Haene's days very full. Today, she couldn't resist the chance to get back to her teacher roots and jump in with Mrs. Doyle and her 5th graders as they tackled unit conversions in math class. Once a teacher, always a teacher ❤️🦅
