An Arrowwood favorite tradition is back! It’s almost time for our annual Live Read-Alouds with your principals right before school starts! Gather the kiddos, grab a blanket, and tune in on Facebook at 7:00 PM to kick off the new school year with a great bedtime story:
📖 Mrs. Hill: Sunday, August 23rd at 7:00 PM
📖 Ms. D'Haene: Monday, August 24th at 7:00 PM
It’s the best way to soothe those night-before jitters and get excited to soar into our new school year.

Last week, Ms. D'Haene and Mrs. Hill took part in SVSU's Gerstacker Fellowship Summer Retreat for an inspiring day of leadership and professional growth. 🌟
Between collaborative book studies and dynamic "Shift and Share" sessions, they spent time exchanging fresh ideas with educators from across the region. Ms. D'Haene presented on the support and learning opportunities happening right here at Arrowwood.

We are counting down the days until the Eagles return to the nest at Arrowwood. We invited our students and their families to join us for the Arrowwood Open House on August 19th from 5-6 PM as we soar into a new school year together.

The custodial crew has been working hard to get the nest ready for the Eagles' return. Mr Joe touched up the Little Lending Library this week and new books will be added back.

Congratulations to Mr Rosebush! He is the recipient of a Jolt Credit Union Orange Spot Microgrant.
Jonathan Rosebush
Arrowwood Elementary School
Grade: 4th
My daughter started her journey in a private school, but do to a later diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder we knew we were going to have to find another avenue of learning. Previously she had headaches and stomach aches and never wanted to go to school. She said she was tired of feeling like she didn't know anything. We made the decision to switch her to Arrowwood Elementary where they would have the resources to better assist her needs - we moved in 4th grade and she was in Mr. Rosebushes class- he was amazing with her- he had a daily schedule which was perfect - she was given any additional help she needed and after just a few weeks was feeling so comfortable and accomplished- we went from never wanting to go to school to never wanting to miss!!
Mr. Rosebush was the turning point in making my daughter who she is today starting at Heritage Highschool in the fall!

Arrowwood families, our incredible staff worked harder than ever this year. Now, they are ready to relax, recharge, and make a splash!
But they didn't head into summer break alone... If you spot a little yellow rubber ducky tag-along in our community (or across the globe!) this summer, that’s an Arrowwood staff's official travel buddy! We’ve challenged our staff to take their "companion ducks" on all their summer adventures from backyard pools to mountaintops.
Keep an eye out for some familiar faces (and beaks!) in our updates, and get ready to see where in the world our Arrowwood flock traveled when we return in the August! Also continue to keep watch for various summer challenges shared on our social media.
First share is one of the Arrowwood ducks flew south and even ran into an Eagle visiting Texas!
Have an amazing, safe, and restful summer, Arrowwood!

We had a great afternoon at Arrowwood celebrating the end of the year. Today students from each grade level had their PRIDE tickets drawn to put a shaving cream "pie" in an adult's face, the inflatable race between staff members, and the Fifth Grade Color Run. Third grade has had a ball this year. Watch out fourth grade!
