STCS will start the 2025-26 school year with universal access to a free breakfast and lunch for all students due to the Michigan School Meals program. The Michigan School State Aid Budget has not been finalized yet, so it is undecided as to whether or not this program will continue beyond September 30th.
We are asking all families to fill out a Child Nutrition and Benefits application so if they qualify, they will be pre-approved for free or reduced price meals in the event the Michigan School Meals universal free program is not extended for the rest of the school year. These applications will be mailed to every household soon and available at every school office, or can be filled out online at stcs.familyportal.cloud under your students Meal Magic lunch account. Any questions or need for assistance with this can be directed to Nutrition Services at 989-793-9713 or nsoffice@stcs.org.
