Career in Numbers Program by AHP (Andrews, Hooper, Pavlik PLC) Registration Link Click Here

Are you a junior or senior considering a career in accounting or finance? Join a local CPA firm for a AHP’s Career In Numbers Program on June 11, 2024 from 9am-1pm at Heritage. Lunch will be provided. This program will introduce the accounting industry through career-focused presentations and group activities with valuable tips to help you succeed in the business world from our professional accounting team. 

Garber Auto Contact Mrs. Hill by email: sdhill@stcs.org  Garber Automotive is looking for some summer interns to work in some of their fixed departments (parts, service, and auto body). They have multiple locations throughout Saginaw. The work could be in the morning or afternoon with a minimum of 3-4 hours per day. The pay is minimum wage. Some experience is preferred but not necessary. Kids who like to work on their cars or are more hands-on are good candidates. They need to be dependable and motivated to work.

Summer YOUNG Professionals Program

During this 6-10 week program, participants receive personalized career coaching designed for young talent:

  • Developing a professional resume
  • Learning fundamental job skills
  • Connecting to paid work experience (20-25 hrs. a week)
  • Engaging in professional development: college tours, employer visits, soft skill development (4 hrs. a week)

Eligibility:

  • 16-24 years of age
  • Can be in or out of school
  • Permanently reside in either Bay, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland or Saginaw County
  • Household meets the ALICE threshold or young professional faces challenges based on homelessness, pregnancy/parenting, emancipation from parents

As a lifeguard, your job is to Carry out Lions Bear Lake Camp’s goals, objectives, policies
and procedures. Teaching and helping to coordinate the camp's waterfront and swimming
activities and help maintain standards that lead to a quality program.

This opportunity is open to rising Juniors, Seniors, and 2023 graduates that have taken at least one year of chemistry and qualify financially (see Financial Eligibility Requirements below) .

We have up to 18 PAID STEM summer research internships at area colleges/universities. First time SEED students earn $3,200 during 7-10 week program

Immerse yourself in hands-on learning at Summer Youth Programs (SYP)! Each summer, nearly 1000 students from around the world in grades 6-11 come to Michigan Technological University’s campus for week-long explorations of college and career opportunities.
Saginaw Career Complex Summer Camps Click Here to Register Come explore different careers this summer at the Saginaw Career Complex. Camps will be offered June 13-14 (Culinary), June 26-27 (Camp Discovery & Construction), June 28 (Military) and June 27-29 (Graphic Arts).  Snacks and lunch will be provided. 

 

Camps will be held at the Saginaw Career Complex located at 2102 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602 with the exception of the culinary camp. 

 

Cost for camp is $10 with the exception of the military camp which is free. Checks are to be made payable to the Saginaw ISD and mailed to the address listed above, Attn: Ann Marie Batkoski.  If a student is unable to pay the $10 fee, we may be able to help. Money MUST be paid ahead of time to reserve your spot.

Saginaw Valley State University

 

Registration for our STEM Innovators Program is now available on our website www.svsu.edu! This free camp is open to high school students interested in making a STEM idea become reality. Participants will work with SVSU engineering, business, and health sciences faculty to explore innovative STEM solutions, develop a business idea, conduct a feasibility study, learn marketing strategies, design a prototype, and pitch their creative idea to local experts. A true "Shark-Tank" experience! Camp dates are June 19 - 22 and registration deadline is May 12, 2023.
