The Saginaw Township Community Schools Board of Education placed a $94.2 million bond proposal on the May 5th, 2026 ballot. The bond asked to finance improvements at all eight school buildings across the district. Results of the vote show the bond proposal was unsuccessful.

While tonight’s outcome was not what we had hoped for, I want to thank our community for participating in this important decision,” said Superintendent Jamie Kraatz.  “I am especially appreciative of those who took the time to learn about, support, and share our vision for the future of our district and community. Our commitment to students does not change. The needs we shared remain, and we will take time to listen, reflect, and better understand the concerns and perspectives of our community. That understanding will guide our next steps.”
