Work Based Learning for next year

Juniors: Would you like to learn more about a career pathway next year? There are a lot of work based learning opportunities in our area. Many local businesses are looking for motivated students to work at their organizations to learn in career pathways such as manufacturing, business, banking, finance, medical, legal, criminal justice, science, engineering and many more. Some of these opportunities will employ students in the summertime also. Deadlines for larger companies like DOW, HSC, and MyMichigan Health are coming soon. College/Skilled Trade Visits Week of Feb 13

On Wednesday, February 15th Delta College will be here during all lunches in room 234 to help seniors with their Delta College applications and answer any other Delta College questions. The Delta College application has several steps so come get help with them on this day. On Thursday, February 16th Harvey Schneider from Delta College will be here from 1:00-2:00PM in room 234 to talk to seniors and juniors about skilled trades opportunities at Delta College. If you’re interested skill trades this would be a great presentation to come to. Sign up in room 234 or the counseling department to attend these presentations.


Coop Strong T-Shirts

The Heritage Hockey team is hosting the 2nd annual Coop Strong game on 2/11 and you can buy tshirts for $10 (at lunch). This shirt includes your entrance into the hockey game. This game is to honor the former Heritage student/Hockey player Cooper Wobio who passed away last year. For our Spirit Day on Friday we are encouraging everyone to wear their Coop Strong Shirt, or the colors: Yellow, Blue and Silver.


Girls Tennis Meeting

2022 HAWK CREED HIGHLIGHTS

Here are some 2022 highlights of some of the extraordinary and positive behaviors our Hawks displayed during first semester: Baljit Sing: Wearing his ID badge and bringing his Chrome book every day. Syeira Staves: Told her teacher about an absence in advance to get her assignment. Julian Butler: Comes prepared for class every day and he is always cell phone free. Ella Clarkston: Demonstrated great poise and self-control when confronted with a difficult situation. Addison Uhrich: No missing assignments, responsible and respectful and great helper with peers. Aidan Weaver: Helping a student catch up without being asked Conner McDowell: Saw that someone dropped a $5 bill and he returned it to its owner. Cameron Daig: Congratulating students on their achievements and is always kind to others. Andrew Denay: Extra effort studying. Mit Foley: Gave up his seat to a peer who needed to join his group. He was very accommodating and welcoming to the peer. Abby Watson: Making a tough decision to ensure the safety and welfare of others. Patrick Sienko: Always asks questions and adds to class discussion. Alexandria Honeman: Shows enthusiasm and kindness in class. Alysa Severson: Hustling to get to class on time. Ilema Albert: Outstanding social skills by asking staff how they are doing! Keep up the great work honoring our HAWKS Creed! We have some model hawks and we can’t wait to see what YOU will do in 2023!
