SAGINAW VALLEY LEAGUE dual & tri meets The heart of our season is comprised of dual or tri meets versus our league rivals. In general, all team members will compete in these meets. In some cases - as determined by the coaching staff - some athletes will be "rested" and will not compete. These athletes will be notified in advance of the meet.

INVITATIONAL MEETS These invitational meets have limited entries - usually 3 athletes per open event, and 1 squad per relay. Selection for participation in these invitational meets will be based on a number of factors as determined by the coaching staff. Participating athletes will be notified in advance; the remainder of the team may have practice as normal at Heritage.

RESERVES MEETS We will be competing in two meets specifically for our Reserve athletes. These meets allow our developing athletes to compete with other athletes at a similar developmental and competitive level. At the invitational, medals will be awarded, team points are tallied, and a team trophy presented!

CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON! The championship portion of our season is what our top athletes will be working toward all season. Participation is limited either by number of entrants per event, qualification by time standard, or finish place in a qualifying meet. At this point the season will be "over" for much of our team, but they may still be expected to participate in some practices and support our athletes competing on the track.
