National Marketing Education
Honor Award

Purpose

The National Marketing Education Honor Award is to provide recognition of marketing education students for their academic excellence, leadership, and involvement in DECA.

Qualifications

To receive the National Marketing Education Honor Award, a student must:

1. be a National DECA membe
2. be a senior
3. have an overall grade point average of 3.2 for the seven previous semesters (with a 4.0 equal to an A)
4. participate in at least three of the areas listed under DECA activities, leadership, and community/ school activities

Procedures

• Completed applications must be received by National DECA by February 1.
• A copy of the official DECA roster must accompany the application to verify that the applicant is a National DECA member.
• An application fee of $5 must accompany the application.
• An Hononor Award certificate will be mailed directly to the chapter advisor with suggestions for appropriate presentation and recognition.
