My name is Mr. Kern. I have been the Principal at Mackinaw High School since August 2011. I wear many hats at Mackinaw from supervising students and assisting in morning check-in to monitoring the lunchroom and hallways. Students often say, "you're always around" because I am in classrooms almost daily helping teachers or touching base with students.
Mackinaw does not enroll true freshman, and as a result all students enrolled at Mackinaw have at least one thing in common. That being all the students at Mackinaw are here for a fresh start.
Three "secrets" to being successful at Mackinaw:
1. Attend all classes daily
2. Complete all work at a satisfactory level
3. Turn in all completed work on time
If you follow these "secrets" you will be successful not only at Mackinaw but at any job you may have in the future.
