KNOTS-Peer mentoring program
The Kids Need Opportunities to Socialize Program (KNOTS) is a district wide K-12 peer to peer mentoring program. The KNOTS program facilitates peer mentoring for all students with disabilities through implementing Evidence Based Practices. The KNOTS program is created to meet the social needs of individual students with disabilities with their peer mentors.
The KNOTS program is fully funded by grants and fundraising in our local community. The KNOTS program creates opportunities for peer interaction in a variety of environments from the classroom, lunch room, recess to community based activities. The peer mentoring program would like to give special thanks to the Saginaw Township Community Schools Foundation for their consistent support!
