WIDA Testing
WIDA is a state standardized test that is mandated by the State of Michigan and the Federal Government. All students designated as English Language Learners will be assessed in Reading, Speaking, Listening, and Writing. The test window runs in the early spring.
Each building will be taking the test at different times. All testing for 4th- 12th grade will be on-line. 1st-3rd grade will take their test on-line except for writing. Kindergarten is still administered in a one-one setting with a teacher.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding the upcoming WIDA. This is not a test that your student needs to study for. It is used to monitor progress and inform planning.
