Course-Entrepreneurship:Small Business Ownership Course Description: The class will help to prepare students to form and operate a small business enterprise. Emphasis will be given to the business development, equipment purchanse, loan application, location selection, opening process, accounting procedures, legal requirements, and human resources. The class will be structured around business selection and developing a business plan for the selected business. Business students are strongly encouraged to join DECA, a national marketing student association. This organization is highly recommended by the school district and the Michigan Department of Education. The purpose of Heritage High School DECA is to help develop vocational understanding, leadership qualities, social awareness and a sense of responsibility to school and community.
