In May of 2006, White Pine Middle School was recognized as a National School to Watch.  This award recognizes middle schools that show exemplary efforts and progress in 39 different areas based on middle school concepts. In 2010, White Pine Middle School was re-designated as a School to Watch joining only thirteen middle schools in Michigan.  Re-designation can happen every four years.   Adminstrators, staff, parents and students worked collaboratively to achieve this award, and they share the common belief that ALL STUDENTS CAN SUCCEED!
