Schools of Choice - Updated 6/30/10

A 2nd Schools of Choice application window for the Fall of 2010 will open from July 23, 2010 through August 6, 2010. Applications will be accepted at the Community Education office (located at Heritage High School, 3465 N Center Rd.) during these dates.

The Board of Education approved the Schools of Choice plan on Monday, April 26. The Board of Education approved the 2nd application period on Monday, June 27. STCS will be accepting:

  • K-6 student applications from Saginaw County.

We will also be accepting applications for the following Special Programs from students in Saginaw County and contiguous ISD school districts:

  • Hemmeter Elementary, qualifying K-5 Gifted and Talented students
  • Heritage High School, 11th & 12th grade students who qualify and take Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses.

The following forms include information about enrollment limits, nondiscrimination rules, refusals, preferences, and random selection guidelines.
