Great Start Readiness Preschool (GSRP) Free to Qualifying 4 Year Olds Held at Arrowwood and Sherwood Elementary Schools Philosophy The School Readiness Program is committed to recognizing the individuality of each child enrolled in our program. We assist children in developing their own natural talents & help them discover new ones. An open and cooperative relationship between our program and your home is imperative. Together, we share the responsibility to provide a secure and nurturing environment for you child. Your child's early experiences within a school setting will follow them throughout their life. Our goal is to make it a positive one! Center Information & Services Nutritious breakfast & lunch Saginaw Township Support Staff Referrals to all Saginaw County Family Service Programs Parenting Seminars Home Visits & Student Evaluations Program Times: Arrowwood and Sherwood Monday through Thursday 7:30-2:15 (student attend all 4 days). Who May Enroll Any Saginaw Township resident is welcome to apply for enrollment of their four year old child. The child must turn four on or before November 1, 2013. A pre-enrollment screening will determine if the family meets the "at-risk" criteria set forth by the Michigan Department of Education. • Focus on the whole child, including social, physical, mental, academic and healthy environment. • Offer individuated curriculum • Encourage parents to be active participants in their child's development • Offer a quality preschool experience for "at-risk" 4 year olds • Build positive self-esteem • Develop the independence and knowledge necessary for a smooth transition into kindergarten.
