I watched a newer independent film titled, Waiting for Forever. It is directed by James Keach. It is a quirk film and resembles a theme of unrequited love. It stars two young adults Emma Twist ( Rachel Bilson) and Will (Willy) Donner played by Tom Sturridge. Will is a lonely man who wonders around aimlessly content with not having a job or a "home". The only thing he cares about his one true childhood best friend Emma (whom he moved away from when his parents died in a terrible accident). Emma is a failed Hollywood actress looking to start a new life while caring for her ailing father. Will never forgot about Emma when he moved away. Will survives through life as a juggler and entertainer. Little does Will know that Emma's ex boyfriend is in town and found out that Emma cheated on him with his best friend (Emmas ex boyfriend kill is best friend in a fight). The movie ends in a happy, content way. Emma's ex boyfriend is convicted, and things are looking up. There were many powerful scenes throughout the film. Love, family, maturity, realism vs optimism, all these things play out throughout the film. I found the acting fresh and new and it was different them any big budget love story made today. I did enjoy the movie because it was so different and quirky, I have always enjoyed independent films and the difference between big screen films made today.
