
Two Arrowwood students took first place in the Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission’s annual Short Story contest, in their division. Paris Damore won first prize in the Third Grade Girl Division and Brandon Hamilton won the Fourth Grade Boy Division. Both students received a mountain bike and helmet for their excellent work. The winning stories and those of the finalists (Arrowwood had seven finalists from 573 entries county-wide) were on display at the Saginaw County Governmental Center. The prizes were presented at the County Board of Commissioners’ meeting held Tuesday, May 20, 2008. |
